The new anime series from the studio J.C. Staff premiered on April 3, 2015. The series is broadcast in Japan on Tokyo MX and local cable networks, and in North America – on Crunchyroll.
Bell Kranel, a young loser, goes to a famous dungeon – a place where adventurers from around the world are looking for treasures and try their luck. But Bell is driven not by the fame of a conqueror of multi-level dungeon, not by treasure and not by fighting monsters. He wants to pick up girls. The guy has a dream of saving a beauty from a monster so that the girl would immediately fall in love with him. But the main character is weak and not very bright, so in the end the girls end up saving him, and not the other way around.
You have probably already guessed that we have a comedy harem comedy done in fantasy style. Girls will swarm around the main character, despite his bad luck. The adventures in the underground dungeon serve as the entourage, as the backdrop of when the main character builds relationships with girls.
Well, harem comedies also have their charm, especially if the entourage is unique – not some school, but a fantasy world, full of dangers and monsters. And if the main character turns out to be attractive not only for the girls but for viewers as well, then 12 episodes will not be enough and we will definitely get another season. Let’s see if that comes true in the summer of 2016. Since there have been no official announcements yet about the renewal of Danmachi for a second season, check back with us for the latest news, or subscribe to our updates to get automatically notified of the release date of Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? season 2.

Some say he’s half man half fish, others say he’s more of a seventy/thirty split. Either way he’s a fishy bastard.
