How difficult (or easy) is life for a person in the modern world who can see ghosts? What do other people think of such a person? Do they consider him crazy or, perhaps, quite the opposite – do they honor and respect him? The studio Pierrot+ wondered about that too and in April of 2015 released a new anime series about a girl called Hibiki Amami who can see ghosts.

The new anime series Re-Kan! is not so much a mystery, as it is a series about everyday life, about building relationships and friendships with people who are a little different. Hibiki Amami has long made peace with her unusual ability. She doesn’t see it as anything special and thinks fondly of ghosts. But when she is transferred to a new school – here she is faced with lack of understanding and even complete denial from her classmate Narumi Inoue. So, Re-Kan! will focus mostly on a story about a budding friendship and about overcoming obstacles, and another world serves more as the background.

Season 1 of Re-Kan! premiered in Japan on April 2, 2015. Crunchyroll announced that it will stream the anime series beginning on April 3, 2015. Also, the company Sentai Filmworks has already licensed the anime for digital and home video release in North America.
