The company Brains Base in April of 2015 released a new comedy mystical anime series called Rin-ne (Kyoukai no Rinne) which surely pleased all the fans of the manga series by Rumiko Takahashi.

As a child, Sakura Mamiya was kidnapped by ghosts from the backyard of her grandmother's house, but she was soon returned home. The girl did not have any injuries but she gained the ability to see ghosts. She wasn’t particularly happy about it – the ghosts turned out to be quite needy and annoying. On the other hand, thanks to her new talent, Sakura quickly discovered that her new classmate, Rinne Rokudo is actually a Shinigami. .

In season 1 of Rin-ne viewers can expect a very interesting story about the adventures of these two in the modern world, spiced up with ghosts, fights, chases and mysteries, and, of course, a budding romance. Rumiko Takahashi storylines have always been marked with certain kindness to the characters, cute and nice jokes and romantic atmosphere. All of this you will surely find in Rin-ne.

Season 1 of Rin-ne, directed by Seiki Sugawara, premiered in Japan on April 4, 2015 and will consist of 25 episodes. Rin-ne has also been licensed by Sentai Filmworks for digital and home video release in North America. There have been no official announcements yet about the renewal of Rin-ne for a second season yet, so stay tuned.
